Public Notice - Dave Chapman Park and Boat Ramp Closed to Recreation Use

Council advises that heavy rain in the Burdekin River catchment has resulted in increased flows over the Burdekin Weir, and as a result Dave Chapman Park and the boat ramp are now closed to the public.
The water level over the weir has risen overnight from 80mm on Thursday, 27 January 2022 to 1800mm on Friday, 28 January 2022.
The closures will remain in effect until the end of the wet season in April (weather permitting).
