Columbia Poppet Head
The Charters Towers Regional Council reconstructed this historic structure using photographs from the era. It was built over the Columbia Block Mine shaft on the City's Bypass Road.
The reconstruction has been augmented with genuine mining relics to reproduce the appearance of the site in the 19th Century.
