PUBLIC NOTICE - Easter Closure

Charters Towers Regional Council would like to wish residents a very relaxing and happy Easter.   

Council facilities will be closed as per below:

• Council's Administration Centre will be closed from 4:00pm Thursday, 14 April 2022 and will reopen 8:30am Tuesday, 19 April 2022.
• The Excelsior Library will be closed from 5:00pm Thursday, 14 April 2022 and will reopen 10:00am Tuesday, 19 April 2022.
• The World Theatre will be closed Good Friday (15 April 2022).
• The Visitor Information Centre will be closed Good Friday (15 April 2022).
• The Venus Battery will be closed Good Friday (15 April 2022), Easter Sunday (17 April 2022) and Easter Monday (18 April 2022).
• The Dalrymple (H.M.Clarke) Saleyards will be closed Friday, 15 April 2022 and will reopen Tuesday, 19 April 2022.
• Landfills:
  • Stubley Street Landfill will be closed on Good Friday, open 8:00am - 12:00pm Easter Saturday through to Easter Monday
  • Greenvale Landfill will open Easter Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm
  • Pentand Landfill will open Easter Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm
  • Ravenswood Landfill will be closed over this period.
