Appointment of Interim Chief Executive Officer

At a Special Meeting of the Charters Towers Regional Council held Friday, 13 May 2022 Mr Martin Drydale was appointed as Council’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, commencing Monday, 16 May 2022.

Mayor Beveridge says Mr Drydale was previously appointed as Council’s Interim Director Corporate and Community Services and has extensive local government experience.  

“On behalf of my fellow Councillors and staff of Council, I welcome Mr Drydale to the Interim Chief Executive Officer role and look forward to working with Martin until such time as a permanent Chief Executive Officer is appointed,” Mayor Beveridge said.

Mayor Beveridge also thanked Mr John Teague, Director Infrastructure Services, for acting in the role of Chief Executive Officer since 9 May 2022.

A decision was also made to reschedule Council’s May General Meeting from Wednesday, 18 May 2022 to Wednesday, 25 May 2022.
