2023 Easter Closures

Charters Towers Regional Council would like to wish residents a very relaxing and happy Easter.   

Council facilities will be closed as per below:

• Council's Administration Centre will be closed from 4:00pm Thursday, 6 April 2023 and will reopen 8:30am Tuesday, 11 April 2023.
• The Excelsior Library will be closed from 5:00pm Thursday, 6 April 2023 and will reopen 10:00am Tuesday, 11 April 2023.
• The World Theatre will be closed Good Friday (7 April 2023).  Saturday, 8 April & Sunday, 9 April open from 1:00pm.  Closed Easter Monday (10 April 2023)
• The Visitor Information Centre will be closed Good Friday (7 April 2023).
• Kennedy Regiment Memorial Pool will be closed Good Friday (7 April 2023) and Easter Sunday (9 April 2023).
• The Venus Battery will be closed over the Easter Period, and will reopen Wednesday, 12 April 2023.
• The Dalrymple (H.M.Clarke) Saleyards will be closed Good Friday (7 April 2023) and will reopen Tuesday, 11 April 2023.
• Landfills:
  • Stubley Street Landfill will be closed on Good Friday (7 April 2023), open 8:00am - 12:00pm Easter Saturday (8 April 2023) through to Easter Monday (10 April 2023)
  • Greenvale Landfill will open Easter Saturday (8 April 2023) 8:00am to 12:00pm
  • Pentland Landfill will open Easter Saturday (8 April 2023) 8:00am to 12:00pm
  • Ravenswood Landfill will be closed over this period.
