Towers Rush is back for another year! It’s time to get your team together and choose your adventure.
 
Deputy Mayor, Cr Sonia Bennetto said “It’s an Amazing Race style event, crossed with a scavenger hunt!
 
“This year, we have some great activities planned which cater for everyone; from adrenaline-pumping action challenges, to low intensity fun and games. 
 
“Many of the traditional Rush favourites will once again put participants to the test this year as well.”
 
If taking it slow is your style, there are many lower intensity challenges. Some of these challenges include:
  • Rocket launcher
  • Fishing challenge
  • Cool off in the pool and solve an underwater puzzle
  • The paper delivery challenge
 
Alternatively, if your team has the need for speed, you can go flat out!  Get your adrenaline fix by:
  • Paddling on the Burdekin River
  • Being a ninja warrior
  • Tightrope walking!
Many more activities and challenges will be revealed on the day.
 
“Come and unravel riddles, solve puzzles, carry out activities and overcome challenges. You choose your adventure! With so many different types of activities and challenges to choose, you’re assured to be in for a good time. So, get together with your friends, kids or work colleagues and register your team,” said Cr Bennetto.
 
Towers Rush will be held on Sunday, 27 October 2019 at the Charters Towers Showgrounds. Teams are between 2-5 participants and will explore the far reaches of Charters Towers by bike, car or on foot.
