“Charters Towers Regional Council is monitoring the situation carefully and are working very closely with Queensland Health to stay up-to-date with the latest information.

Council is well prepared to continue business as usual, to ensure essential services are maintained for our community.

Council has taken the necessary steps to limit potential exposure to our staff and the community while continuing to operate waste collection, sewerage and water services.

To help stop the spread of the virus, I encourage everyone to heed the advice of the Australian and Queensland Governments and to ensure proper personal hygiene.
