Sign on Day 2020

Back

A wide range of sporting clubs and community groups will be on display to provide information at the Sign on Day 2020.

This free event provides an opportunity for kids, big and small, and their families to connect with clubs and organisations within Charters Towers.

Some of the exhibitors on the day will include the: Towers Kart Racing Club, Pottery Club, PCYC Youth Ignite, Demons AFL Club and more.

Cr Graham Lohmann said it is a great way to talk directly with all the clubs and groups.

“The Sign on Day provides an opportunity for all of our many sporting clubs and community groups to showcase what they have to offer. It’s a ‘one-stop-shop’ for information in a convenient location for the community.

“This event will allow you to ask questions of the various groups, to gather some information and if you’re really keen, sign up on the day,” said Cr Lohmann.

The Sign on Day will have plenty of options for people of all ages and skillsets and will be held at the Arthur Titley Centre on 15 February 2020 from 10am to 2pm.

“Being a part of a sporting club or community group is a great way to socialise, be active and learn new skills.

“The Sign on Day also allows Council to support community and sporting groups and promote healthy lifestyles.

“I want to encourage everyone to come out for the day and connect with our groups. You may even discover a group you weren’t aware of. It’s a great way to get involved,” said Cr Lohmann.
