Notification of draft Land Management Plan For Weir Park described as Lot 216 on DV6 and Lots 1 and 2 on CP902051

The Charters Towers Regional Council as Trustee for Lot 216 on DV6 and Lots 1 and 2 on CP902051 provides this Public Notice given in accordance with the Land Act 1994 for a draft Land Management Plan.

The draft Land Management Plan (in its current form) seeks to diversify the reserve to incorporate a commercial café which is outside the gazetted purpose. The outcomes of the draft Land Management Plan will support more diverse recreational activities and to encourage visitors to spend more time in the area enjoying the natural surrounds the Weir Park has to offer. 

The draft Land Management Plan is available for review online at www.charterstowers.qld.gov.au or at Council’s Administration Centres located at 70 Mosman Street, Charters Towers. The draft Land Management Plan will be available for comment on and from Thursday 6 February 2020 until Friday 28 February 2020 whereby all submissions will be considered by Council Officers prior to the document being lodged with the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy for final review and registration.
