Public Notice - Road Surfacing Works - Charters Towers
As part of Councils ongoing commitment to maintaining our current assets, road surfacing works will begin Monday 20 January 2020 for approximately two months.
Some works will be undertaken at night to reduce traffic impacts, however, lane closures and detours will be in place.
Works will include the resurfacing of a number of local roads, including Centenary Park carpark and the Defiance Mill carpark.
Road surfacing works will be undertaken on the following roads:
- Alabama Road - Duman Rd to Blackjack Rd
- Blackjack Road - Rainbow Rd to Towers Hill Turnoff
- Blackjack Road - Towers Hill Turnoff to Alabama Rd
- Charlotte Street - King St to Felix St
- Coane Street - Alabama Rd to End
- Duman Road - Alabama Rd to End
- Gordon Street - Hackett Tce to End
- Hewett Street - Prior St to Stubley St
- Hicks Street - Prior St to Stubley St
- Hodgkinson Street - Deane St to Church St
- Hogsflesh Creek Road - Woodchopper Rd to End of seal
- Jackson Street - Mosman St to Deane St
- Lee Street - Mosman St to Deane St
- Mosman Street - Towers St to Rainbow Rd
- Old Dalrymple Road - Dalrymple Rd to End of seal
- Powell Lane - Deane St to Lee St
- Rutherford Street - Dawn St to Stubley St
- Stubley Street - Hicks St to Stubley St Landfill
- Wheelers Road - Dr G Ellis Dr to Acacia Vale Rd
- Woodchopper Road - Bluff Rd to Pats Rd
Council contractors will work directly with residents advising when works will be carried out and to allow vehicles to be moved off the street.
Council acknowledges that the works may cause inconvenience and appreciates the community’s cooperation.
