PUBLIC NOTICE: Racecourse Road and Peek Street

Construction of a roundabout at the Racecourse Road and Peek Street intersection is scheduled to begin Thursday, 15 April 2021.
Charters Towers Regional Council anticipates the work will be completed by Saturday, 31 July 2021, weather permitting.
Council will minimise disruption as much as possible, however road users may experience delays and access to on-street parking and driveways may be impacted.
Motorists and other road users are encouraged to seek an alternative route to avoid unexpected travel delays
