Expressions of Interest – Charters Towers Country University Centre Working Group.

Charters Towers Regional Council in collaboration with Country Universities Centre (CUC) is excited to announce the opening of Expressions of Interest for individuals to join a Working Group committed to advocating for a Regional University Study Hub in the Charters Towers Region.

The Regional University Study Hubs are innovative in creating educational opportunities for regional and remote students without having to leave their community. There are currently 46 located in Australia, across all states and Northern Territory.

The funding for Cohort 5 is opening soon. To prepare for this opportunity Charters Towers Regional Council is looking for up to four (4) individuals in the community that would be passionate in ensuring this project excels.

Who Should Apply:

passionate and motivated individuals who are committed to the progression of this project. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A strong connection to the Charters Towers community
  • Experience working with or on committees or boards.
  • Relevant skills in one or more of the following areas:
    • Corporate Governance
    • Finance/Accounting
    • Law
    • Marketing/Public Relations
    • Business Management
    • Human Resource Management
    • Community Health; or
    • Education.

  • A cover letter outlining your interest and how you meet the criteria.
  • A current resume detailing your experience and qualifications.
