PUBLIC NOTICE: Boat Ramp Open, Dave Chapman Park

Back

Marine Safety Queensland, with the support of Charters Towers Regional Council, has replaced the guidance buoys after they were damaged during the heavy rain event earlier this year.

The boat ramp at Dave Chapman Park and the reach upstream of the Burdekin Weir has been reopened for limited recreational boat use but boat speeds are limited to six knots.

While fishing and canoeing is permitted, the upstream reach of the river remains closed to powerboating and skiing at this time.
