Community Satisfaction Survey starts soon

Council will conduct its latest Community Satisfaction Survey in the next few weeks to ask locals for their feedback on how well Council is performing its functions and services.

Mayor Frank Beveridge said the survey will again align to the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) Community Satisfaction Tracking Study to enable benchmarking of the result across Queensland.

“We want to hear from residents about what is working, what is not working, and what can be improved,” he said.

“The survey is scheduled to start on Monday, 24 May and run until Monday, 14 June, with the survey to be carried out by an experienced external research company, Market Facts Qld Pty Ltd, to ensure residents feel confident in providing their answers..

“Council will receive the report mid-year and share the results with the community.

“I encourage those who do the survey to give open and honest feedback as the results will help to shape future decision-making at Council level,” Mayor Beveridge said.

The survey will be the second undertaken in three years and maintains Council’s commitment to engaging the community.

“We will compare results from this survey with the one carried out in 2018 to see how we compare with our previous results,” Mayor Beveridge said.

The research company uses a random sample to select people to carry out the 10-15 minute phone survey.
