Commencement of the Charters Towers Regional Town Plan Version 2 (inclusive of Minor Amendment)

Notice is given in accordance with the Planning Act 2016 that Charters Towers Regional Council on Wednesday 18 August 2021 adopted the Charters Towers Regional Town Plan Version 2 inclusive of a Minor Amendment. The Charters Towers Regional Town Plan Version 2 will take effect on and from Monday 30 August 2021.

The Charters Towers Regional Town Plan Version 2 applies to the entire Charters Towers local government area. The Minor Amendment includes amendments to Schedule 5 Cultural Heritage Statements of Significance being the creation of heritage place cards for some Local Heritage Places. The Minor Amendment also includes spelling, grammar and formatting amendments throughout.

The Charters Towers Regional Town Plan Version 2 can be viewed on Council's website or at Council’s Administration Centre located at 12  Mosman Street, Charters Towers City.
