Call out for stall holders

Charters Towers Regional Council is calling for market stalls for the Charters Towers Film Festival and Twilight Markets. The annual event features locally made short films and a collection of market stalls with locally made products. It’s on again at the Charters Towers Showgrounds on Saturday, 9 October 2021.Councillor Graham Lohmann, whose portfolio includes community events, said the Film Festival and Twilight Markets always deliver a great night out for families. “This has become one of the most anticipated events on the Charters Towers calendar for families each year,” he said.
“It’s an opportunity for the community to come out and watch some short films, enjoy some great food and buy something from a local producer or supplier. We are putting the call out now for anyone wanting to set up a market stall for the event to register now,” Cr Lohmann said.
Council hopes there will be a wide variety of market stalls on offer. “In previous years we’ve seen unique arts, crafts, clothing and jewellery for sale,” Cr Lohmann said. “It’s unique items that you won’t find anywhere else created by talented people living in the Region. We also want to hear from anyone interested in registering a food stall for the event,” Cr Lohmann said.
