Residents can now return to normal usage and non-restricted levels. Council would like to thank the community for their assistance during this period.

Council wishes to advise that due to a mechanical failure over the weekend resulting in a reduction in the water storage capacity at the Pentland Water Town Reservoir, residents are to conserve water.

The issue has been rectified, however we ask that residents comply with the following over the next two days:

  1. No unnecessary watering or irrigation of lawns or gardens,
  2. No washing of vehicles,
  3. No washing down of building or outdoor hard surfaces.

This will allow time for the Town’s Supply Reservoir to fill to its normal operational levels.  Residents will then return to normal usage and non-restricted levels from Wednesday.

Council acknowledges the inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for their cooperation
