Lissner Park and Centenary Park—Temporary Closure
Lissner Park and Centenary Park will be temporarily closed from 1pm today (9 December 2019) until further notice due to the significant increase in flying fox numbers.
A risk assessment has determined that flying fox roosts may pose a risk to public safety, especially the risk of falling tree limbs.
Council will continue to monitor flying fox numbers and will reopen the parks once the risk to the public has been minimised.
Council apologises for this inconvenience and appreciates the public's cooperation.
