Charters Towers Regional Council Celebrates Seniors Month with Special Free Event
Charters Towers Regional Council is proud to host a special event in celebration of Queensland Seniors Month, recognising the invaluable contributions our seniors make to the community.
This exciting free event will take place on Thursday, 31 October, from 9:30am at The World Theatre.
Attendees will enjoy a delightful morning tea, information booths, and a special screening of the film "Midas Man," which tells the fascinating story of Brian Epstein and his pivotal role in The Beatles' success.
Councillor Julie Mathews expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Seniors Month is a perfect opportunity to honour and appreciate the rich experiences and wisdom our senior community brings to Charters Towers.
“We’re thrilled to offer an event that celebrates their contributions.
“The World Theatre will be the ideal setting for this celebration and we hope the film ‘Midas Man’ provides an engaging and entertaining experience for our seniors, reflecting the vibrant spirit of their own lives and achievements.”
All seniors are encouraged to RSVP by Monday, 28 October, to ensure they don’t miss out on this special occasion.
“It’s a chance to come together, enjoy good company, and reflect on the many ways our seniors enrich our community.”, said Councillor Mathews.
Join us for a day of celebration, connection, and entertainment! We look forward to celebrating with you!
