Get ready to Rush & Roll at the Goldrush Concert!
Tickets sales are still ticking over for the Rush Festival’s fast-approaching Goldrush Concert in Charters Towers on Saturday, 12 October.
The Goldrush Concert, featuring national headliners The Rogue Traders, Thirsty Merc, and Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows, will delight fans of all ages and guarantee a night to remember.
Deputy Mayor Kate Hastie advised that Council’s event organisers took on board the community feedback following last year's event, with high requests for more food and drink options.
“We are excited to welcome XXXX Gold on board this year as a Gold sponsor, sponsoring our very own XXXX Gold Beer Garden.
“Our local business Salt Lane Café has also come on board as a Gold Sponsor to deliver the Salt Lane Café Food Court, enabling us to welcome a much larger range of food vendors to ensure bellies are full throughout the weekend’s events.
“Pizza, burgers, ice cream, snow cones, coffee, hotcakes and fried chicken are just some of the food options you can expect to have on offer at the Salt Lane Food Court.
“As always, we want this to be a weekend for the whole family, so we are thrilled to welcome Windlab as the Gold Sponsor of our Entertainment Hub, where the kids can keep busy with face painting, a jumping castle, rock climbing, a mechanical skateboard and much more!
“Council is really pushing the boundaries to ensure that this year's festival is the best year yet.
“The Rush Festival weekend is more than just delivering a day of fun for our concertgoers, the economic benefit to the whole community is enormous.
“With less than a month to go until the weekend kicks off, it is important that we as a community support events such as this to ensure its viability in the future.
Cr Hastie noted that local accommodation was booking fast and encouraged anyone travelling for the event to book now to avoid disappointment.
Council is again running a courtesy shuttle bus to take patrons to and from the Goldrush Concert on the Saturday, to ensure safety and enjoyment for all.
Tickets for the Goldrush Concert are available online at www.rushfest.com.au or by visiting Council’s Customer Service Team, and are affordably priced for families and groups of all ages.
