Green Waste Kerbside Collection

Following on from the recent storm, Council will commence a Green Waste Kerbside Collection to assist those who have not yet been able to tidy their residences.

Collection will begin on Tuesday, 28 January 2025 for residents in the below suburbs:

- Alabama Hill
- Charters Towers City
- Columbia
- Grand Secret
- Millchester
- Mosman Park
- Queenton
- Richmond Hill
- Toll
- Towers Hill

*Anyone seeking assistance outside of these suburbs is requested to submit a Customer Request to Council by calling 4761 5300, via Snap Send Solve, or by submitting a Customer Request form online.

Residents are asked to take note of the below:

- Green waste for all residents in the above-listed suburbs must be out by Monday, 27 January.
- This collection is aimed at assisting residents with fallen debris from the recent storm only (no fresh green waste, please).
- Residents are asked to ensure green waste is in a pile on the kerbside and not blocked by vehicles.
- Council teams WILL NOT be cutting down or removing debris from private or residential yards.
- Non-green waste items WILL NOT be collected.
- Council teams WILL NOT be going back to locations to collect green waste not put out in time.

Council reminds the community that green waste is FREE at all Council-owned landfill facilities year-round, and residents are encouraged to take advantage of this.

This collection comes at a cost to ratepayers and may delay other Council services.
