ADVICE #3 URGENT ACTION DUE TO CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE FAILURE DUE TO FLOODING

Council would like to advise Charters Towers residents and business community water usage is for essential use only to ensure the town water supply is maintained after an intake failure at the Weir.

This means the Charters Towers community continues to remain on a critical water alert and residents are to only use water for:

- Showering (maximum 3 minutes)

- Only flushing the toilet when needed

- Drinking water

- Washing clothes if needed

Updates will continue to be provided to the community.
