Charters Towers is primed for development

Charters Towers Regional Council has just made it a lot easier for industrial developers to locate industrial land opportunities.

Council released its Industrial Land Prospectus which identifies and describes the various industrial precincts across the City.

The prospectus identifies seven precincts primed for development with lot sizes ranging from 1,000 square metres to more than 12 hectares.

Mayor Frank Beveridge said the document will help match potential investors with opportunities in the Region.

“Council wants to make it easy for investors to choose Charters Towers for their projects.

"It is an easy reference point to see where the land is located, what access and services are available, the amount of road frontage, and what the land zoning is,” Cr Beveridge said.

“It really is an exciting time for the Region,” he said.

“Development Applications are coming in at the highest rate we’ve seen in some time, and several big region-changing projects are on the horizon including the next stage of the Australia-Singapore Military Training Initiative (ASMTI), Copperstring 2.0 and Big Rocks Weir.”

“I encourage investors to view the Prospectus online or contact Council to request a copy.”
