More Charters Towers Region clubs, organisations, and community groups have signed up for Saturday’s Sign on Day.

Councillor Kate Hastie, whose portfolio includes Sports and Recreation, said there will be something for all interests and ages.

“We now have more than 15 exhibitors registered for the Sign on Day.

“It will be a one-stop-shop for information on some of the sports, recreation and community activities available in the Region,” Cr Hastie said.

Some of the exhibitors  participating include the Charters Towers Scout Group, Towers Players, Charters Towers Demons, CT Gold City Suns, Charters Towers Girl Guides, Queensland Country Women’s Association, Women of the Outback Shed, Charters Towers Tennis Club, Adkitd Dance Studio, and Charters Towers Miners Junior Rugby League.

There will also be kid’s entertainment and a sausage sizzle provided on the day.

Clubs and organisations wanting to be part of the Sign on Day need to register at www.charterstowers.qld.gov.au/events or call 4761 5300 before 9am Friday, 5 March 2021.
