Council launches projects page
Residents in the Charters Towers Region can now track the progress of Council projects online.
Charters Towers Regional Council has launched a new page on its website which allows users to keep up to date with Council’s biggest infrastructure projects.
It provides an overview of the project, the location, expected timeline, some frequently asked questions, and access to relevant supporting images and documentation.
Mayor Frank Beveridge said the projects page will make it easier for the public to find out how Council’s important construction projects are tracking.
“Residents often hear about when a project has started and when it has been completed,” Mayor Beveridge said.
“This page allows locals to see more detail and get a better context of where it fits into the overall strategic plan of Council.
“Locals can go online and look at things like concept designs, maps, investment plans, supporting documents, and more,” Mayor Beveridge said.
Projects already listed on the page include the Charters Towers Water Park, Defiance Mill Park Pump Track, Flood Warning Infrastructure Network, the Peek Street – Racecourse Road Roundabout, and most recently, the draft Towers Hill Master Plan.
“When you look at it you can see there’s quite a lot going on,” Mayor Beveridge said.
“Council will be updating the page regularly to ensure residents are kept informed.”.
