Festival of Small Halls returns to the Towers
Festival of Small Halls is returning to Charters Towers on 22 October 2021 at the St Paul’s Playhouse.
The Festival is a series of tours that takes the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists and sends them on the road to tiny halls all over the Country.
The Festival first performed in the Towers back in 2019. This year, Queenslander Darren Hanlon and South Australian Kelly Brouhaha will be the guest singers on the night.
The show will be opened by Annabella Keough, who is a country pop singer currently in year 11 at All Souls St Gabriels School. Bella has won many prizes for her talent, including the 2021 CT Performing Arts Bursary for Most Promising Vocalist.
Councillor Lohmann, whose portfolio includes community events, said this is an incredible opportunity for music lovers to enjoy a night of original music.
“We’re excited to be able to offer the Festival of Small Halls again this year for the region.
“The night will be full of music and storytelling and will be a great night out.
“Because of the small hall format of the Festival, it’s a great way to really connect with the artists and be engaged with their music and their stories,” Cr Lohmann said.
Councillor Graham Lohmann will be the MC for the evening, with the bar being run by Towers Players.
