Australia Day Awards: Nominations closing soon
Nominations for the Australia Day Awards 2022 are closing Friday 19 November 2021.
The Charters Towers Region Australia Day Awards celebrate and recognise the valuable contribution that individuals, community groups and organisations make in our region.
Mayor Frank Beveridge is encouraging residents to nominate the unsung heroes in our community.
“There are so many people who contribute to the spirit of our Region. They deserve to be recognised for the outstanding roles they play and for being community advocates.
“They are individuals and groups who have excelled in their chosen field; be it sport, arts or culture.
“We want to acknowledge and reward these outstanding individuals, organisations and groups who are committed to improving our region’s lifestyle.
“We need the community to nominate these people, so we can recognise their contributions and say thank you for all their hard work,” said Mayor Beveridge.
