Council has been made aware of residents in other council areas receiving calls from scammers posing as council staff requesting personal information.
Whilst we're not aware of this occurring to residents within the Charters Towers Region, we want to be sure that no one is caught out.
Council is NOT undertaking any phone surveys at the moment and WILL NOT call you and ask for personal details such as full name, address, and DOB over the phone. Any official phone calls from Council will come from a number starting with 07 4761 ....
