Date for inaugural business breakfast set

Council is excited to be hosting its inaugural Quarterly Business Breakfast for local businesses and community organisations next month.

These events have been established to provide attendees with the opportunity to engage, network, and share ideas and information.

The first Business Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, 14 September 2022 at the Charters Towers Golf Club commencing at 6.45am for a 7am start.

Mayor Beveridge says hosting these events is a direct result of implementing the Charters Towers Regional Economic Development and Innovation Strategy (EDIS).

“During the EDIS Consultation sessions, our business community communicated that they wanted to feel connected to Council.

“Having an event specifically for our business and community organisations to gather in one location is a great way for Council to strengthen connections with the local business community,” Mayor Beveridge said.

During the course of the morning attendees will get to listen to guest speakers and hear Council provide regional updates on projects of significance.

Council is pleased to announce Mr Tony Titley as the Special Guest Speaker for the inaugural event, with the Titley family widely recognised as pioneers of innovation in our region.

“We all know that running a business enterprise can make people time poor, so by creating a breakfast event we hope that it will allow more people to attend prior to their normal work-day commencing.

“We hope that attendees can take advantage of the time to enjoy a fully cooked breakfast and make some meaningful connections in a casual and relaxed setting.

“Attendees will also be automatically included in a Lucky Draw, with the prize definitely something to be excited about,” said Mayor Beveridge.

Limited tickets for the inaugural Quarterly Business Breakfast are on sale now until close of business Friday, 9 September 2022.  Tickets to attend the Breakfast are $25.00 per person.
