Update on Greenvale Drinking Water Supply

Back

**NO LONGER IN PLACE**

Council advise that the water supply in Greenvale continues to be deemed non-potable and is not for human consumption, e.g. water is not safe for drinking even if it is boiled and should not be used for cooking.  However, it may be used for gardening, washing and external use as long as there is no human consumption.

To ensure the continued safety of the Greenvale community, Council is supplying bottled water to residents.

For human consumption, water should be sourced from private bores, rainwater tanks filled by rainwater, or filled by licensed water carters from potable supplies.

Council is working to deliver a supply of safe drinking water and is considering alternative options and will continue to communicate to residents with regular updates.

Council apologises for this inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation.
