Saleyard maintenance

Due to the large number of animals being processed through the Dalrymple (H.M. Clarke) Saleyards, in conjunction with the extended wet season experienced this year, it was identified that the export yards surface required repairs and maintenance to ensure compliance.

Council made contact with exporters/stakeholders to discuss the impending works and it was determined that a closure was not required to enable the works to be undertaken.

All works were scheduled to occur during a period that would not impact the day to day functions of the Saleyards, including weekly sales and export trade operations.

Works commenced last week, are progressing well, and expected to be completed well within schedule, ensuring there is no impact to users of the facility.
