Council is pleased to announce the first Quarterly Business Breakfast of 2024, which will shine a light on Women in Business.
The Women in Business edition, specifically aligned with International Women’s Day, is scheduled for Friday, 8 March, with the World Theatre to host this quarter's event.
The Quarterly Business Breakfast is a Council initiative, aimed at providing local businesses and community organisations the ability to engage, network and exchange ideas.
Council is honoured to announce the partnership with Commonwealth Bank Australia for this upcoming edition.
A spokesperson from Commonwealth Bank Australia commented saying, “Commonwealth Bank is very proud to support the Charters Towers Women in Business event.
“The event places a key focus on empowering women entrepreneurs to contribute to community development, in turn creating a ripple effect of social and economic progress.
“Ultimately, supporting women in business is not just about equality, it’s a strategic investment in a more robust and dynamic future for all”, said the spokesperson.
As a highlight of the morning, attendees will have the privilege of listening to special guest speaker, Karen Jacobsen and connecting with others in the local business community.
“Karen Jacobsen, The GPS Girl, known as the original Australian Siri, will be speaking on “Recalculating” in both business and life, offering a unique perspective to attendees.
Council invites everyone to come and take advantage of the time, and enjoy a bite-sized breakfast in a casual and relaxed setting while establishing meaningful connections within the community.
An exciting lucky draw prize is up for grabs on the day, with all attendees going into the draw.
